The Professional Development Fair is open to UC Davis graduate students and postdoctoral scholars (registration info here) — designed to connect participants with a variety of professional development resources and programs. CapSciComm, of course, is all about science communication as a skill and as careers, and CapSciComm Board Members will be present to share their stories and recommended resources. Come hear about different training programs, fellowships, local networks and resources, science cafés, and regional events such as the upcoming Science Talk unconference.

We’ll then head over to de Vere’s Irish Pub for our first CapSciComm Networking Social of 2019! As usual, our networking socials are open to all professionals and students whose work intersects with the communication of science — whether you work in journalism, public affairs, creative and marketing, outreach and education, or scientific research. Come meet other professionals and students in the Sacramento region who are interested in scicomm, scipol, and science literacy — and grow your community!

So bring a friend, and help us #KeepScienceSpicy for the Capital Region. Please RSVP to help us plan, and we’ll see you on February 12th in Davis!
