The Capital Region’s premier science center, the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity (MOSAC), opened in November of 2021 as a community gathering space and an anchor point for STEAM education in Northern California. As a community of savvy, passionate scicomm professionals and students interested in better communicating important concepts accurately and effectively, it’s high time we paid a visit to learn from our fellow ambassadors of science!
Join us at the April MOSAC Mixer with a Paint & Sip theme. “Enjoy a night of painting with unique science twists, exploring the chemistry of pigments and the physics of color—all while sipping on your favorite drink.”
In addition to the special programming for adults, including planetarium shows, CapSciComm attendees will receive exclusive entry to a conversation with museum staff on effective science communication that strives to meet our many audiences in their contexts and perspectives.
