Journalists, PIOs and researchers gathered on June 20, 2013, for the first-ever networking social of Capital Science Communicators (CapSciComm).
Hosted at Bistro Michel in Sacramento, Calif., the inaugural gathering included representatives from the California State Senate Office of Research, Sacramento Bee, Sacramento Public Library, UC Davis, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Geological Survey.
Conversation topics were as diverse as the professions in attendance: information technology, conservation biology, library science, international agriculture, video production and more.
CapSciComm members came away with new contacts and colleagues, and left enthusiastic suggestions on how to grow the group further.
The conversation continues in a few weeks — details will be announced soon for the July 18th CapSciComm networking event in Davis!
