Clear science communication and a vibrant science journalism community is integral to the public policy process. As the convener of professionals and students who practice science communication here in the greater Sacramento region, we have taken care to welcome our policy colleagues into our CapSciComm network.

So come out to catch up with CapSciComm colleagues working in science policy — along with our co-hosts, the CCST Science Fellows, who will launch their 10th anniversary class later this fall! We welcome alumni and members of CCST and other scipol fellowships, such as the AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship and the California Sea Grant State Fellowship, and our friends from federal, state, local government and non-government offices.

Of course, CapSciComm Networking Socials are open to all professionals and students whose work intersects with the communication of science — whether you work in journalism, public affairs, creative and marketing, outreach, or scientific research. Bring a friend, and help us #KeepScienceSpicy for the greater Sacramento region.

Please RSVP to help us plan, and we’ll see you on October 4th in Sacramento!
