On May 13th, the Davis Science Café will ask a very simple yet very deep question: what is time itself?

“What Is Time?”
Davis Science Café

Wednesday, May 13th, 2015
5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
City Hall Tavern
226 F Street, Davis, CA
Free to attend
Complimentary soft drinks courtesy UCD Department of Math and Physical Sciences

Our conversation will be led by Dr. Andreas Albrecht, Distinguished Professor and Chair of the UC Davis Physics Department. His research focuses on the conditions of the early universe; cosmic structure; dark energy; and other cosmological questions.

We all know time passes differently at a bar—relative to how many drinks you’ve had. And though we’ll be sipping on City Hall Tavern’s fine beverages, Professor Albrecht will lead us on even deeper explorations on the concept of time—what is it relative to humans, to light, to the universe, and to other dimensions?
