All-Inclusive Package Including
Airfare, Lodging, Meals, and Scheduled Activities

This group tour will be a special opportunity for our Sacramento scicomm community to take our curiosity overseas — and serves as a major fundraiser to sustain CapSciComm operations in the near term.

Operated by Muse Journeys, Inc. and planned in consultation with CapSciComm Executive Chairs, the tour itinerary is equal parts scientific and equal parts fun! We’ll stop by La Selva Biological Station, lodge at the foot of Volcán Arenal, relax in the waters of Baldi Hot Springs, prowl the Pacific beaches for olive ridley sea turtles, and sample local coffee and cacao products. Interspersed with these outings will be time for whitewater rafting, zip-lining, horseback riding, and bonding with friends familiar and new!

The tour package is all-inclusive of airfare, lodging, meals, and activities (see Full Itinerary and Fee Schedule for details and exceptions). Part of your fee will help us fund one or more Capital Region-based researchers to accompany us on our journey and share their scientific insights — and a small percentage will go towards CapSciComm’s general operating fund, boosting our ability to bring you amazing professional and social events in our region!

Tour Costs:

  • $3,655 for single occupancy (own room)

So won’t you join us? Registration is open to our CapSciComm community and their friends. Kids are welcome — so bring the family, or just bring yourself!

Register and make your deposit by August 14th, 2018. Let’s get out there and see another side of our beautiful planet while bonding over adventures and new memories — and let’s help keep science spicy for the Sacramento region!
