***THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED***
In light of the UC Davis campus closure announcement for Thursday, November 15th (press release here), we will also follow suit with this scheduled CapSciComm Networking Social. We hope to reschedule at a future date in 2018. In the meantime, we wish all safe passage and health in our Sacramento Valley community. Please continue to follow the excellent @NWSSacramento and @AQMD for weather and air quality updates.

It’s hard to believe 2018 is coming to its home stretch. Let’s all gather once more this year to toast science, scicomm, and science writing, this November in Davis!

CapSciComm Networking Socials are open to all professionals and students whose work intersects with the communication of science — whether you work in journalism, public affairs, creative and marketing, outreach and education, or scientific research. Come meet our 2018 CapSciComm Board Members, and hear about our year in review locally and in our national community. And don’t forget to ask about ways you can participate and be active in our community in 2019!

So bring a friend, and help us #KeepScienceSpicy for the Capital Region. Please RSVP to help us plan, and we’ll see you on November 15th in Davis!

— The CapSciComm Board

*And after you stop by our Networking Social, head over to Astronomy on Tap in Davis over at Sudwerks (https://www.facebook.com/events/2079401342341812/)!
